A Versatile and Timeless Piece of Furniture

Arco is designed with a versatile structure that can be made of different types of wood or a combination of wood and leather. The concept is developed from two seamless, unique modules that draw an infinite line. This design allows for customization and personalization, making it suitable for various interior styles and preferences.

Measuring 247 cm in length and 186 cm in width, Arco offers ample space for a comfortable night's sleep. The bed is composed of five assembled pieces, ensuring stability and durability.

Designing Arco was a simple yet thoughtful process for Cristian Sporzon. Taking inspiration from the night and the timeless nature of dreams, he incorporated the mathematics symbol of infinity into the design. This symbol serves as the guiding line, representing the boundless possibilities that come with sleep and dreams.

The project started in December 2011 in Milan and was completed in March 2014 in Treviglio (BG). Arco was exhibited at Fuori Salone del Mobile in April 2014, showcasing its unique and innovative design.

One of the main challenges faced during the creation of Arco was finding a company with the right machinery capable of cutting a very long piece of wood. Once the right partner was found, the project came to life, with the wood being cut precisely according to the designer's CAD drawings.

Arco's design is not only visually appealing but also carries a deeper meaning. The use of wood as a natural material adds warmth to the piece, while the structure itself embodies the concept of infinity. Additionally, the design invites users to reflect on the connection between sleep and dreams, offering a gateway to a fantastic and timeless world.

Arco has received recognition for its outstanding design. In 2019, it was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category. This prestigious award honors well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements.
